About The Position

Our dedicated team delivers superior, personalized care to help individuals and families achieve their dreams of parenthood. We are currently seeking a Weekend Ultrasound Assistant to support our team by ensuring smooth operations of the weekend monitoring within the ultrasound department. Primary duties involve preparing exam rooms, managing patient flow. Schedule Saturday and Sunday from 6:00 am to 9:00 am

Requirements

  • High School Diploma
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to interact effectively with patients and the healthcare team.
  • Excellent attention to detail to ensure accuracy in records and room preparation.
  • Basic computer proficiency with electronic medical records (EMR) systems.
  • The ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple priorities.

Nice To Haves

  • Previous experience working with the public or in a healthcare setting is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Prepares ultrasound exam rooms by ensuring the area is clean and properly stocked with required transducers and supplies.
  • Keep daily volume of patients for all sites and enter data into excel spreadsheet.
  • Maintain copies of disinfection logs for all sites. Contact site if behind in sending logs to the Reading office.
  • Fill out the MD worksheets for the sonographer. After all signatures are acquired, scan completed form into the patient chart.
  • Clean transducer cords and put away at the end of each shift.
  • Keep technician posted on any concerns regarding equipment: Ultrasound machine, probes and Trophon.
  • Greets patients, explains preparations for ultrasound exam, monitors patient’s behavior and reports any unusual findings to the technician.
  • Enter patient information into the ultrasound unit, verifying information with patient. Inquire if patient has any Latex allergies. Prepare transducer with proper protective cover.
  • Assemble images with corresponding ultrasound worksheet.
