About The Position

Work Schedule : 30% FTE, part-time per diem position. Minimum requirement is 8 hours per month. You will work at various UW Health locations within Madison including University Hospital, East Madison Hospital and clinic sites. Shifts include days, nights, evenings, and weekends. We are seeking an Ultrasonographer to: Perform a wide variety of routine and complex ultrasound procedures, including pelvic, abdominal, small parts and routine vascular examinations and may perform more complex imaging. Perform clinical examinations on adults, geriatric patients, adolescents, and pediatric age groups. Work at a variety of locations, including a Level 1 Trauma Center, critical care facility and several clinics in the Madison area. Requirements

  • Graduate of accredited ultrasonography program and/or registered by the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (ARDMS)
  • Previous healthcare experience
  • Registered by the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (RDMS) in a minimum of two concentrations: Abdomen, Ob/Gyn, Breast or Pediatric Sonography or Registered Vascular Technologist (RVT) Upon Hire
  • RVT credential, if not already acquired, or Minimum Qualifications Substitute (MQS) if in OBGYN department within 30 months
  • CPR certification within 3 months

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field
  • 2 years of clinical experience
  • Registered by the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers in a minimum of two concentrations listed above and RVT
