About The Position

Nashville General Hospital is hiring an Ultrasonographer for our Imaging team for full-time Day!
This position is primarily responsible for performing diagnostic medical sonogram examinations. The ultrasound technologist may assist the Interventional Radiology team via sonography. This position requires interaction with radiologists and referring physicians.

Requirements

• Current certification by the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers, (ARDMS)/ the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) or registry eligible. (Registry eligible must become certified within twelve (12) months of employment.)
• Current BLS certification is required at the time of hire
• 2 years as a registered sonographer preferred

Responsibilities

• Perform patient care services relevant to performing ultrasound procedures to include ensuring appropriate pre-procedure measures are taken
• Documents acquired information on the ultrasound images to assist the radiologist
• Ensure room, equipment and supplies are properly obtained and cleaned
• Maintain a log of completed procedures, performing QA, and responsible for ensuring properly cleaned equipment
• Provide patient care and education
