About The Position

The Ultrasonographer performs diagnostic OB/GYN, abdominal and other ultrasound exams. Completes exam analysis and preparation for Radiologist’s review and interpretation.

Requirements

• Successful completion of an Ultrasound internship or formal training program or possess an Ultrasound Credential from the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) or American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS) accrediting bodies.
• ARDMS in at least one of the following areas or (or registry eligible) in the areas of abdomen, obstetrics/gynecology (OB/GYN), or vascular technology (RVT) for registry eligible, one must be completed within 9 months of employment.
• ARDMS Certification in Abdomen and OB/GYN must also be completed within 24 months of hire.
• If working in a department performing breast ultrasound, you must complete American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS) Breast certification or ARRT Breast Sonography (BS) credential within 24 months of hire.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification awarded by the American Heart Association and Red Cross within three months’ of employment.
• Employee may not at any time have been or be excluded from participation in any federally funded program, including Medicare and Medicaid.

Nice To Haves

• Associate's degree in a related field and a graduate of a CAAHEP accredited sonography program.
• ARDMS or ARRT certified in Sonography
