About The Position

Ultrasonographer - PRN Work Schedule: 30% per diem position, minimum 8 hours per month. Varying start times and shifts, including days, evenings, nights, weekends. You will work at a variety of UW Health locations within Madison. Hours may vary based on the operational needs of the department. Pay: A competitive starting pay based on relevant work experience. This position also includes an evening/night differential for those schedules. You may be eligible for a $1,500 sign-on bonus (pro-rated based on FTE) and relocation assistance. We are seeking an Ultrasonographer to: Perform a wide variety of routine and complex ultrasound procedures, including pelvic, abdominal, small parts and routine vascular examinations and may perform more complex imaging. Perform clinical examinations on adults, geriatric patients, adolescents, and pediatric age groups. Work at a variety of locations, including a Level 1 Trauma Center, critical care facility and several clinics in the Madison area. Requirements

  • Graduate of accredited ultrasonography program and/or registered by the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (ARDMS) Required
  • Previous healthcare experience Required
  • Registered by the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (RDMS) in a minimum of two concentrations: Abdomen, Ob/Gyn, Breast or Pediatric Sonography or Registered Vascular Technologist (RVT) Upon Hire Required
  • RVT credential, if not already acquired, or Minimum Qualifications Substitute (MQS) if in OBGYN department within 30 months Required
  • CPR certification within 3 months Required

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field Preferred
  • 2 years of clinical experience Preferred
  • Registered by the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers in a minimum of two concentrations listed above and RVT Preferred
