About The Position

Corewell Health Hospital Trenton is a 193-bed acute care teaching hospital that sponsors nine university-affiliated residency programs. The hospital opened its doors to Trenton and its surrounding communities in 1961. It became part of Corewell Health in September 2014. In addition to providing comprehensive medical and surgical care for its patients, the hospital offers all private beds, a medical and surgical intensive care unit and obstetrical care. Under site designate leader, and according to established policies and procedures performs accurate and efficient Ultrasound exams utilizing appropriate imaging equipment, independent judgment, ingenuity, and initiative. Technologists must demonstrate good clinical skills and provide the best possible images for interpretation. Follows Corewell Health philosophy of Patient and Family Centered Care at all times.

Requirements

• Graduate of Diagnostic Ultrasound Program or equivalent.
• Registered by American Registry Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) or Registry eligible.
• If unregistered, must obtain at least one registry (ABD or OB/GYN) within 1 year from hire.
• Basic Life Support Certification for Healthcare Providers at hire through the American Heart Association.

Responsibilities

• Perform accurate and efficient Ultrasound exams utilizing appropriate imaging equipment.
• Demonstrate good clinical skills and provide the best possible images for interpretation.
