About The Position

The Ultrasonographer performs diagnostic OB/GYN, abdominal and other ultrasound exams. Completes exam analysis and preparation for Radiologist’s review and interpretation. After hour on-call ultrasound is rotated amongst sonographers. Call back response time is 45-minutes. Requirements

  • High school graduate or equivalent with equivalent self-taught educational experience or graduate of a formal Diagnostic Medical Sonography Program.
  • Successful completion of Ultrasound internship experience.
  • American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS) registered , or American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) Sonography (S) registered.
  • Completed Physics, Obstetrics and Gynecology and Abdomen/Small parts within 2 years’ of initial employment.
  • If working in a department performing breast ultrasound, you must complete American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS) Breast certification, or ARRT Breast Sonography (BS) credential within 2 years’ of hire.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification awarded by the American Heart Association and Red Cross within 3 months of employment.

Nice To Haves

  • Associates Degree.
  • Two years’ experience as a Diagnostic Medical Ultrasonographer
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification awarded by the American Heart Association and Red Cross at time of hire.
