About The Position

Corewell Health operates over 300 outpatient clinics across Michigan, bringing a multitude of care options to the communities that we serve. There are over 40 different types of primary care and specialty practices, which allows those who work in these clinics the opportunity to learn and explore various interests or to specialize in one area. The position involves performing basic and advanced diagnostic and obstetric ultrasound examinations as prescribed by the physician and documenting findings. The role also includes assisting physicians with invasive procedures as needed and providing appropriate patient care while recognizing patient conditions essential for successful completion of the procedure.

Requirements

• Associate's Degree or equivalent experience in related field.
• 7 years of relevant experience in inpatient hospital ultrasound including emergency, surgical and critical care for Hospital Radiology locations.
• 3 years of relevant experience in obstetric ultrasound and/or high-risk pregnancy ultrasounds for Maternal Fetal Medicine (MFM) based locations.
• CRT-Sonographer (S) - ARRT American Registry of Radiologic Technologist Upon Hire required.
• CRT-Abdomen (AB) - ARDMS American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography Excludes MFM Upon Hire required.
• CRT-Ob/Gyn (OB) - ARDMS American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography Upon Hire required.
• AHA OR ARC Basic Life Support (BLS) within 90 days of hire required.

Responsibilities

• Perform basic and advanced diagnostic and obstetric ultrasound examinations as prescribed by the physician.
• Document findings from ultrasound examinations.
• Assist physicians with invasive procedures as needed.
• Provide appropriate patient care and recognize patient conditions essential for successful completion of procedures.
