Ultrasonographer II – Radiology Department Bring your passion to Texas Health so we are Better + Together Work location: Texas Health Kaufman 850 Ed Hall Dr TX 75142-9964 Work hours: Part time, 24 hours a week. Two 12-hour shifts, 8:00am - 8:00pm, varied days Monday through Friday. Requirements

H.S. Diploma or Equivalent is required
BCLS - Basic Cardiac Life Support prior to providing independent patient care and maintained quarterly is required
ARRT - American Registry of Radiologic Technologists Sonography and one additional modality Upon Hire is required
ARDMS - American Registry for Diagnostic and Medical Sonographers must have 2 certifications Upon Hire is required
RVT or VT(RVS) as one modality if performing vascular sonography Upon Hire is required
Competency in scanning/equipment operation.
Excellent Communication skills.
Ability to multitask and prioritize.

Nice To Haves

Graduate of an AMA approved / accredited Ultrasound Program is preferred
Associate's Degree is preferred
2 Years clinical experience in a hospital radiology is preferred

Responsibilities

Explains procedures to patient or guardian / family member if applicable prior to and during exam.
Images correct anatomical area of interest and pathology according to department protocols.
Prepares room for examination (i.e. suction, oxygen, supplies).
Checks physician orders and exam requisitions using time-out procedures.
