Ultrasonographer I Perinatology Cert - Turner Center - Maternal and Fetal Health
About The Position
Independently, or under the direction of a physician, the Ultrasonographer performs ultrasound procedures and patient care requiring independent judgment, ingenuity and initiative in the utilization of prescribed ultrasound techniques for diagnosis and intervention. The Ultrasonographer in the Perinatology Clinic performs high-risk OB Ultrasounds. The Ultrasonographer has the responsibility for diagnostic ultrasound, interventional and other examination procedures and physiology; with independent selection and modification of technical factors to produce optimum results.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or Equivalent
- Proof of passing result on ARDMS or ARRT examination.
- R.T. (S) (ARRT) or ARDMS (AB), (OB/GY), (VT) or (MSKS). Verification within 3 months of hire via ARDMS or ARRT website.
- One year dedicated ultrasound experience OR No experience required with fulfillment of education requirement
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with different levels of management.
- Able to work independently and collaboratively in teams.
- Proficient in using computers and computer systems; Proficient in all Microsoft programs; high level proficiency in Excel.
- Strong analytical/problem solving skills.
- Knowledge of current information technology to accomplish automation projects of large size and complexity.
- Excellent time management, interpersonal, presentation, organization, prioritizing, decision-making, and planning skills
Nice To Haves
- Graduate of Approved School of Medical Sonography or Associates Degree within health science
- Two years dedicated sonography imaging experience
Responsibilities
