Job Summary: We are looking for an ULTRASONIC TRAINEE who will be responsible to assist the Level 2 evaluate and review machine parts through ultra-high frequency sounds.

Responsibilities

  • Process products for inspection under the direct supervision of a Level 2 Ultrasonic Inspector.
  • Assist material handlers in pulling and moving parts, staging of parts, cleaning of parts, and drying of parts (when needed).
  • Preparing surface of parts when required for inspection.
  • Conduct system performance checks.
  • Become knowledgeable on product quality requirements for parts.
  • Operate cranes, fork trucks and other materials handling equipment to obtain, set up and store forgings, when needed.
  • Prepare and maintain logs, work sheets and other records listing dates, method, test results, etc.
  • Perform work in other inspection areas as required.
  • Perform operational testing of sonic equipment to ensure accuracy.
  • Responsible for inspecting forgings for internal defects using ultrasonic equipment.
  • Job requires to pass written exams (General & Specific) and a practical exam along with eye exam for near and color perception.
  • Must be able to document results precisely.
  • Obtain experience under direct observation from a Level 1 when approved by the Level 3 in the method.
  • Participate in total quality management projects to achieve continuous improvement.
  • Participate in LEAN manufacturing and SPC activities as required.
  • Maintain a clean and orderly work area.
  • Ensure adherence to APP’s policies and procedures, including our code of conduct and ethics policy, product safety, employee safety and cultural beliefs.
  • Ensure adherence to all process specifications.
  • Support the Plant quality system goals / improvements & productivity goals / improvements within the scope of the job.
  • Perform any other duties not mentioned above when instructed to do so by APP leadership.
