Arconic is currently in search of an Ultrasonic Supervisor to join our Aluminum Extrusion (AEX) business unit in Lafayette, IN. We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Level 2 Ultrasonic Supervisor to lead and oversee ultrasonic testing operations in accordance with industry standards and company procedures. This role is responsible for supervising a team of ultrasonic operators, ensuring quality control, maintaining compliance with safety regulations, and supporting continuous improvement initiatives.

  • Supervise and coordinate daily ultrasonic testing activities and personnel.
  • Perform and interpret ultrasonic inspections in accordance with ASNT Level II standards.
  • Ensure compliance with applicable codes, standards, and customer specifications.
  • Review and approve inspection reports and documentation.
  • Train, mentor, and evaluate ultrasonic operators to maintain high performance and technical proficiency.
  • Collaborate with quality assurance, engineering, and production teams to resolve inspection-related issues.
  • Maintain calibration and certification records for ultrasonic equipment.
  • Support audits and customer inspections as needed.
  • Promote and enforce safety protocols and procedures.
  • ASNT Level II certification in Ultrasonic Testing (UT) required.
  • 3+ years of experience in ultrasonic testing.
  • 1+ years in a supervisory or lead role.
  • Strong understanding of NDT methods, materials, and manufacturing processes.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Proficient in interpreting technical drawings and specifications.
  • Familiarity with applicable standards (e.g., ASTM & ASME).
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities.
  • Must be a U.S. citizen, lawful permanent resident of the U.S., or a protected individual as defined by 8 U.S.C. 1324b(a)(3).
