Raytheon is seeking a Production Capacity Expansion Program Manager, for the Advanced Common Products (ACP) organization within the Naval Power SBU. This role will report to the Advanced Common Products Executive Director and will lead strategic planning and execution efforts to support the Munitions Acceleration capacity expansion initiatives, including Raytheon Tucson and Andover production stand-ups, critical supplier expansion, and supplier resiliency. This highly impactful role involves oversight of multiple Integrated Product Team (IPT) leads and is focused on critical efforts such as test optimization, test equipment maturation, obsolescence management, supplier stand-up, and second sourcing. The successful candidate will direct multiple teams through team leaders and manage a matrixed organization of 40+ reports to deliver results in a complex, fast-paced environment. This role offers a unique opportunity to be a key leader in an effort that answers an unprecedented demand for one of the most critical technologies and capabilities in Raytheon. An optimal candidate will have experience in supplier standup, building and maintaining good relationships both internally and externally, test optimization, transition to production and possess a program growth mindset that brings the energy to drive change. This is an onsite position located at our Tucson, AZ Airport facility. Relocation assistance is not AVAIABLE currently.

Requirements

  • Typically requires a University Degree or equivalent experience and a minimum of 12 years prior relevant experience, or An Advanced Degree in a related field and a minimum of 10 years’ experience
  • Prior experience in leading large-scale, cross-functional programs in a matrixed environment. (i.e.: Engineering, Supply Chain, Finance, Operations etc.)
  • Prior experience with Test equipment optimization, yield improvement projects
  • Prior experience managing Budgets and P&L’s
  • Prior experience with managing, tracking and reporting for EAC reviews
  • Prior management/leadership experience
  • Prior experience with Transition to Production, Capacity Expansion or similar process/effort

Nice To Haves

  • Program Management Level 4 Certified
  • Experience with obsolescence management and supplier stand-up/second sourcing initiatives
  • Execution experience leading a team of program managers and/or IPT Leads
  • Strong proficiency in partnering with matrixed organizations
  • Proven track record of customer relationship building
  • Strong understanding of Earned Value Management

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute strategic plans for capacity expansion initiatives, including establishing clear milestones for the automated factory and Andover stand-ups.
  • Drive planning and execution efforts for hardware learning lots, production readiness, over-in and drawing updates as needed.
  • Oversee and coordinate multiple IPT leads across key focus areas, including test optimization, test equipment maturation, obsolescence management, supplier stand-up, and second sourcing.
  • Lead efforts to complete the Andover startup, including preparation and execution of SMT (Surface Mount Technology) learning lots, PVR (Production Verification Runs), and test equipment prove-in.
  • Ensure supply chain readiness by collaborating with procurement teams to secure necessary materials for production learning lots.
  • Partner with Value Stream Managers (VSMs) and Product Line Owners within the Andover facility to prepare kits and execute SMT learning lots.
  • Communicate and coordinate with the Test Equipment (TE) organization to complete PVRs and prove in efforts.
  • Interface with internal Raytheon and RTX stakeholders across multiple business units, including Naval Power and Advanced Technology programs, to align objectives and deliverables.
  • Direct and manage multiple teams, overseeing 40+ matrixed reports.
  • Provide guidance and mentorship to team leaders, fostering a high-performing and collaborative work environment.
  • Maintain Profit & Loss (P&L) responsibility for program execution.
  • Ensure programs are delivered on time, within budget, and meet quality and performance standards.
  • Manage capacity expansion efforts that impact multiple business units and programs, including critical missile programs within the Ultra product line.
  • Balance transition-to-production activities with production capacity expansion to meet program and business objectives
