The role of a n Ulta Beauty Consultant can provide you with the skills and experiences of : P rovide personalized beauty products and regimen recommendations through guest engagement, product training, sampling events and actively selling R etail business fundamentals including department sales trends, inventory management, guest shopping patterns, pricing and promotions strategies B eauty product knowledge including beauty brands, seasonal trends, cosmetics and various skincare products Driving guest l oyal t y through internal loyalty programs (Target Circle and Ulta Beauty Rewards) including guest benefits , and how to leverage as a sales-driving tool

Requirements

You enjoy interacting and helping others - including guests that shop our store and fellow team members you work with .
You thrive in a fast-moving, highly active and physically demanding role, where teamwork, flexibility, and creative problem solving are key to success.
You are open to working a flexible work schedule with varying hours, days or shifts (including nights, weekends, holidays and other peak shopping times).
12+ months previous beauty retail experience preferred, but not
Strong interest and knowledge of beaut y and skincare products
Welcoming and helpful attitude toward all guests and other team membe rs
Ability to communicate on multiple frequencies devices and operate handheld scanners, and other technology equipment as directed.
Effective communication skills
W ork both independently and with a team
Resolve guest questions quickly
Capability to remain focused and composed in a fast-pa ced environment and accomplish multiple tasks within established timeframe
Accurately handle cash register operations as needed
Climb up and down ladders
Scan, handle and move merchandise efficiently and safely, including frequently lifting or moving merchandise up to 15 pounds and occasionally lifting or moving merchandise up to 4 4 pounds without additional assistance from others.
Flexible work schedule (e.g., nights, weekends and holidays) ; reliable and prompt attendance necessary
Capable of working in and exposure to varying temperatures, humidity, and other elements while performing certain job duties including but not limited to Drive-Up, carryout, etc.
Ability to remain mobile for the duration of a scheduled shift (shift length may vary).

Responsibilities

Create a welcoming experience by greeting guests as you are completing your daily tasks .
When guests need assistance , engage with guests in a welcoming way, to help solve their specific needs.
Support guests with genuine interaction to understand their needs and what level of service they prefer; ask open ended questions to provide appropriate recommendations , product knowledge, and drive sales.
Prioritize guest interaction and engagement while still completing tasks within the shop s uch as ensuring product is organized, in stock and signed correctly, pricing is accurate , cleaning and maintaining testers and sampling supplies, and completing changes to salesfloor merchandise displays.
Invite guests to become members of loyalty programs; share the benefits and perks of programs and assist guests with sign up and linking.
Encourage guests to explore Beauty with confidence by making sure the area is clean , testers are available, and surprising & delighting them with product samples .
Participate in weekly trainings via Target’s learning system focused on newness, industry trends, product knowledge, and guest engagement techniques to enable continuous development and drive sales performance.
Familiarize yourself with prestige product ingredients and benefits; l everage training resources, product packaging , in-store marketing, and store tools .
Be knowledgeable about the tools, products, and services available in the total store .
Always demonstrate a culture of ethical conduct, safety and compliance .
Work in a safe manner at all times ; comply with all safety policies , best practices , and training; report hazards and correct where possible.
