About The Position

Parsons is seeking a talented UI/UX Engineer to join their dynamic team, focusing on the development of UI/UX capabilities for the Future Operationally Resilient Ground Evolution System (FORGE) program. This role involves collaborating with principal engineers and program managers to create custom web-based user interfaces and backend applications for satellite systems monitoring and control. The ideal candidate will thrive in a team-oriented environment and contribute to the success of the program through strong development skills and effective communication.

Requirements

  • 4+ years of Web Application UI Development (HTML5, ES, Typescript, CSS)
  • 2+ years Java and/or Kotlin programming language
  • Excellent verbal/written communication and organizational skills
  • Team-oriented personality
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, Mathematics, Engineering, Physics, or similar field
  • 5+ years of minimum experience with a Bachelor's degree
  • Active Secret clearance with ability to obtain TS/SCI

Responsibilities

  • Support principal/lead engineers and program managers in developing subsystem solutions through multiple phases of the engineering lifecycle.
  • Verify work products meet detailed customer and user requirements and other design objectives.
  • Lead design, technical, and programmatic meetings, and resolve issues.
  • Develop and review integrated technical and programmatic documentation.
  • Develop custom web-based user interfaces and supporting backend applications related to satellite systems monitoring, command, and control.
  • Participate in design reviews to provide input on functional requirements, product designs, schedules, or potential problems.
  • Create system design specifications and other technical documents as required.
  • Document software defects.
  • Manage configuration of software modules and system documentation.
