As a UI/UX Designer , you will support complex initiatives across their lifecycle by bringing structure, clarity, and a human-centered perspective to how problems are understood and addressed. In this role, you will work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to design and improve digital experiences, focusing on accessibility, usability, and functionality. Requirements

  • An active Secret security Clearance.
  • BA/BS degree.
  • 3+ years of relevant experience
  • Proven experience leading discovery and requirements gathering activities.
  • Proficiency in creating design artifacts using tools such as Figma, Miro, or similar.
  • Experience with design and prototyping tools (e.g., Figma, Miro, Sketch).
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills; comfortable presenting in and leading meetings.

Responsibilities

  • Lead discovery efforts to identify user needs, pain points, requirements, and business objectives.
  • Plan and facilitate stakeholder interviews, workshops, and working sessions to drive alignment and clarity.
  • Translate ambiguous problem spaces into clearly defined problem statements and priorities.
  • Communicate design intent, requirements, and constraints effectively to technical, non-technical, and leadership audiences.
  • Present findings, recommendations, and design concepts to stakeholders in a clear, inclusive manner.
  • Synthesize research and discovery findings to produce actionable artifacts (e.g. affinity diagrams, service design diagrams, and customer journey maps).
  • Develop wireframes to explore solutions and gather early feedback.
  • Advocate for user-centered design practices and contribute to the team’s growth in discovery and design methodologies.
  • Demonstrate curiosity and a growth mindset by continuously learning new tools, methods, and domain knowledge to improve discovery and design outcomes.
