About The Position

Our growing client, located near Albany, NY is seeking a talented UI/UX Designer to create intuitive, accessible, and visually consistent user experiences across internal and client-facing web platforms. This role works closely with Product, Engineering, and QA teams to transform business requirements into user-centered designs that are both functional and technically feasible. Position Overview: The UI/UX Designer plays a key role in shaping how users interact with data-driven, web-based applications. This individual balances usability, performance, accessibility, and brand consistency while collaborating throughout the full product development lifecycle-from concept through release.

Requirements

  • Strong proficiency in Figma, including component libraries and documentation
  • Solid understanding of front-end fundamentals (HTML, CSS, responsive design)
  • Experience collaborating closely with developers in an Agile environment
  • Ability to translate complex or data-heavy workflows into clear, intuitive interfaces
  • Working knowledge of accessibility standards (WCAG) and performance considerations
  • Excellent communication skills with both technical and non-technical audiences
  • Experience using project management tools such as Asana or similar platforms
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with stakeholders to understand workflows, business objectives, and user needs
  • Design responsive, intuitive interfaces that enhance usability and productivity
  • Create and maintain detailed Figma mockups, interactive prototypes, and shared component libraries
  • Translate feature requirements and user stories into developer-ready designs
  • Analyze user flows and conduct usability reviews to identify and resolve friction points
  • Ensure consistency with brand standards and accessibility best practices
  • Work closely with developers to confirm designs are feasible and accurately implemented
  • Iterate designs based on feedback from stakeholders, QA, and engineering teams
  • Partner with developers throughout Agile sprint cycles to support smooth design handoff
  • Provide detailed design specifications directly within Figma
  • Participate in sprint planning, backlog refinement, and release validation
  • Support QA during testing to confirm visual and functional accuracy
  • Collaborate post-release to resolve UI inconsistencies and improve workflows
  • Maintain and evolve a shared design system to ensure consistency across platforms
  • Document design decisions, UI standards, and workflows
  • Audit live applications for UX consistency and improvement opportunities
