We’re looking for an experienced (Senior) UI/UX Designer for projects in the automotive industry who combines strong design craft with strategic thinking. In this role, you will shape user‑centric digital products, lead cross‑functional collaboration, and contribute to innovation initiatives across various industries.

Requirements

You hold a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in fields such as Media Design, Interaction Design, User Experience Design, Human–Computer Interaction (HCI), Graphic Design, Digital Media, Product Design, or a related discipline.
(Extensive) experience as a UI/UX Designer, Product Designer, or similar role.
Strong portfolio including digital products, service concepts, prototypes, and case studies demonstrating your design process.
Expertise in user‑centered design methods, including workshops, interviews, ecosystem mapping, and prototyping.
Experience working in agile environments with product owners, developers, strategists, and business stakeholders.
Proven ability to craft clear information architectures, intuitive interface designs, and compelling visual narratives.
Proficiency in leading design tools (e.g., Figma, Adobe Creative Cloud) and rapid prototyping practices.
Excellent communication skills—confident presenting ideas and partnering with cross‑functional stakeholders.
Creative problem‑solver with a strong eye for detail and a user‑first mindset.
Strong English communication skills; German is a plus.
You are comfortable with extensive travel (up to 100% of your working time), typically Monday through Friday, depending on client and project needs.)

Nice To Haves

Experience with innovation and emerging technologies (e.g., AR/VR, automotive UX, mobility services, smart home solutions) is a plus.
Certificates such as SAFe PO/PM, Scrum Master, or other relevant agile certifications are a plus.
Strong English communication skills; German is a plus.

Responsibilities

Lead user research activities, co‑creation workshops, and requirement‑gathering sessions with product managers, developers, and business stakeholders.
Design end‑to‑end user experiences including user journeys, personas, wireframes, user flows, storyboards, and high‑fidelity prototypes.
Develop and iterate digital product concepts—from early ideation to polished UI—using rapid prototyping and modern design tools.
Create visual designs, brand‑aligned storytelling assets, and presentation materials for product pitches, customer workshops, and executive briefings.
Apply and evolve design systems to ensure consistency, scalability, and high‑quality user interaction across channels.
Conduct usability testing and translate findings into actionable improvements.
Support innovation topics such as AR/VR, mobility solutions, digital ecosystems, and connected product experiences.
Collaborate closely with engineering teams to ensure a seamless handover and successful implementation.
Drive cross‑functional alignment and facilitate agile ceremonies where design input is required.
Contribute to project planning, stakeholder communication, and the strategic shaping of digital transformation initiatives.
