About The Position

Antunes is seeking a creative and detail-oriented UI/UX intern to support the Innovation team in developing the next generation of standardized user interface frameworks for our product platforms. This role will work closely with the Innovation Industrial Designer and the Architecture Engineering team to understand functional requirements across all Antunes products and translate those needs into intuitive, consistent, and scalable UI/UX solutions.

Requirements

  • Proficiency in UI/UX design principles, including user-centered design, interaction design, and visual communication.
  • Ability to create wireframes, prototypes, and user workflows using tools such as Figma, Adobe Creative Cloud, or similar platforms.
  • Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to translate complex requirements into clear, intuitive experiences.
  • Understanding of design thinking methods and user research techniques; ability to synthesize insights to inform design decisions.
  • Familiarity with information architecture, navigation structures, and usability best practices.
  • Enthusiastic, self-motivated, and capable of working independently or collaboratively within a cross-functional team.
  • Adaptability and willingness to learn and grow within a fast-paced environment.
  • Detail oriented with a commitment to excellence in all aspects of design work.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and Microsoft Teams.
  • Pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in UI/UX Design, Human-Computer Interaction, Industrial Design, Graphic Design, Digital Product Design, or related field.
  • High school interns will be considered based on relevant skills and interests.
  • Foundational knowledge of user-centered design principles and interface design methodologies.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams and customers.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with the Innovation Industrial Designer and Architecture Engineering Team to define UI/UX requirements for current and future product platforms.
  • Identify common interface needs across all products and develop a standardized framework to support them.
  • Create wireframes, screen layouts, and user workflows that establish a unified experience across Antunes equipment.
  • Participate in design thinking activities, including user research, immersion, journey mapping, and synthesis of insights to inform interface requirements.
  • Produce low and high-fidelity prototypes to communicate design concepts and validate usability.
  • Present design concepts and workflow recommendations to internal teams, ensuring alignment with technical constraints and product goals.
  • Maintain organized documentation of design decisions, frameworks, screen & icon libraries, and workflow maps.
  • Support broader innovation activities such as brainstorming sessions, concept development workshops, and cross-functional design discussions.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned by department team leader(s).
