Experience Design Intern Job Description: Orion Innovation is seeking a high-potential intern to support Experience Design and AI-driven innovation initiatives. This role is designed for a student who is intellectually curious, fluent in both design and technology, and motivated to explore how AI tools and techniques can improve workflows, decision-making, and digital experiences. The intern will work alongside cross-functional teams spanning design, engineering, and data to experiment with emerging technologies, contribute to real client work, and help shape how AI is integrated into modern product development and business processes.

Requirements

• Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Design, Human-Computer Interaction, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
• Demonstrated curiosity about AI, design, and emerging technologies
• Foundational understanding of UX/UI design principles and/or software development concepts
• Familiarity with tools such as Figma, Adobe Creative Suite, or prototyping tools
• Exposure to AI tools (e.g., Claude, ChatGPT, Copilot, Miro, etc.) is a plus
• Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills
• Clear communication skills with the ability to articulate ideas and insights

Responsibilities

• Support Experience Design teams in research, ideation, and prototyping activities
• Explore and evaluate AI tools to improve design, development, and operational workflows
• Assist in documenting and optimizing internal processes using AI-driven approaches
• Contribute to rapid prototyping of concepts using tools such as Figma, low-code platforms, or GenAI tools
• Analyze user journeys and identify opportunities for automation, personalization, or efficiency gains
• Synthesize findings into clear insights, presentations, and recommendations for internal stakeholders
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including product, engineering, and data
