As a UI/UX Design Intern at Stewart, you will have access to work on real-world projects, and gain insights from mentors and leaders throughout the organization and participate in social and community events to enhance the experience – ultimately providing you with tools to support your transition from college to professional life. Our Summer Internship program runs June 1 – August 7, 2026

Requirements

  • Be currently enrolled in a bachelor’s or master’s level degree program in UX Design, Product Design, Human-Computer Interaction, Graphic Design, or a related field
  • Be located in Houston, TX for duration of summer program
  • Thrive in a fast-paced environment and be eager to learn and contribute
  • Have strong communication and collaboration skills
  • Be detail-oriented while able to manage multiple tasks and priorities
  • Demonstrate curiosity, creativity, and a user-centered mindset
  • Have familiarity with design tools such as Figma, Sketch, Adobe XD, or similar (experience level may vary)
  • Be able to fulfill the duties of the role in a hybrid working environment for the duration of the internship
  • Be available to complete the entire internship program as defined by the communicated start and end dates
  • Be fluent in oral and written English
  • Be eligible to legally work in the country in which you are applying, without company sponsorship or time restriction

Responsibilities

  • Assist in designing user experiences for web-based applications, tools, and workflows
  • Support the creation of wireframes, mockups, prototypes, and design specifications
  • Participate in design reviews and collaborate with cross-functional partners to refine solutions
  • Help translate business and product requirements into clear, user-centered designs
  • Contribute to design documentation, annotations, and handoff materials for development
  • Learn and apply UX best practices related to accessibility, usability, and consistency
  • Gain exposure to design systems, component libraries, and enterprise UX standards
  • Be assigned projects that support customer outcomes and product improvements
  • Collaborate with other interns and cross-functional teams to inform your design work
  • Be supported by a mentor, your manager, business leaders, and Human Resources to ensure a strong learning experience
  • Receive coaching, feedback, and guidance to develop skills in UX/UI design and product thinking
  • Learn internal tools, processes, and industry-related information relevant to digital product design
