Position Summary This job is responsible for providing leadership, technical direction and oversight to a team delivering technology solutions. Key responsibilities of the job are to provide oversight of the design, implementation, and maintenance of complex computer programs, align technical solutions to business objectives, and ensure that coding practices/quality comply with software development standards. Job expectations include conducting multiple software implementations and applying both depth and breadth in knowledge of several technical competencies. This is a Platform Engineering role supporting Architecture, Platform and Strategy for many new initiatives at Bank of America. The team will be building data, platform, advanced analytical and self-service capabilities using Open source distributed computing, AI/ML, and Big Data technologies for Consumer, Banking, and Wealth organizations (CBWT). The Feature Lead must possess a passion for producing high quality software and solutions for GenAI and be ready to jump in and solve complex problems and perform code writing and reviews.

Requirements

8+ years of experience in platform development, architecture, and strategy for data science, modeling, and advanced analytics
Strong knowledge of algorithms and design patterns
Proficiency with JavaScript application design and testing experience
Experience in building fullstack enterprise applications with HTML/JavaScript/TypeScript/CSS, ReactJS, NextJS, NodeJS, ExpressJS, GraphQL, REST APIs
Experience with cross-browser, cross-platform, and design constraints on the web and mobile
Experience in web performance, observability and developer experience tools
Knowledge of UX design using Adobe XD, Figma and e xperience with Relational Database Design and Implementation
Exceptional problem-solving skills and self-starter with a quick learning curve
Experience working with technical and line of business users to gather the requirements, writing BRD for building platform, brainstorm with different set of tech and non-tech audience, document the details with conceptual diagrams, validate the tech feasibilities of capabilities by researching and working with tech teams, architects and engineers
Reviews technical designs to ensure that they are consistent with defined architecture principles, standards, and best practices.
Own technical decisions for the solution and application developers in the creation of architectural decisions and artifacts.
Ability to clearly communicate with team & stakeholders
Collaborate with product teams, data analysts and data scientists to design and build solutions
Manage next generation of architectural decision for advanced analytics platform, create strategy, roadmaps, present to tech and non-tech leaders
Hands on experience on implementing CI/CD and automation using the Atlassian ecosystem as well as designing and building full stack solutions utilizing distributed computing architecture
Accountable for the availability, stability, scalability, security, and recoverability enabled by the designs
Support the company’s commitment to protect the integrity and confidentiality of systems and data

Responsibilities

Designs, develops and is accountable for feature delivery
Applies enterprise standards for solution design, coding and quality
Ensures solution meets product acceptance criteria with minimal technical debt
Guides the team on work breakdown and execution
Works with the Product Owner to ensure that product backlog/requirements are healthy, with clear acceptance criteria
Plays a team lead role (as an individual contributor) and mentors the team
Guides team members with skills and practices (planning and estimation, peer reviews, and other engineering practices)
R esponsible for providing leadership, technical direction, and oversight to a team as they deliver technology solutions
D eveloping solutions and processes for delivering features based on their knowledge of design/architectural patterns and Agile/DevOps practices
Ensure the systems design and requirements are aligned to achieve the desired business outcomes, and that team practices and coding/quality principles are aligned to achieve the desired technology outcomes
