Our Content & Business Products (CBP) Engineering teams build the products and services to optimize and automate the content creation process including content planning, financing, production, promotion, and distribution. We support Netflix's enterprise needs including Finance, Talent, Tech Support, and Customer Support to ensure smooth operations. Our products enable the entire workflow of content production, from pitch to play, and provide innovative new ways to develop and manage entertainment at scale. The team’s work is critical to supporting the creation of movies and TV series that will thrill the world!

Requirements

• Passionate about user experience and have an eye for improving UIs.
• Experience building enterprise applications with HTML/JavaScript/TypeScript/CSS.
• Strong sense of ownership, independence, bias towards action, and inclination for collaboration.
• In-depth knowledge of web performance and accessibility.
• Strong in technical design end to end with emphasis on UI.

Nice To Haves

• Experience with React, GraphQL, and various libraries and frameworks.
• Curiosity to work with the Hawkins Design System.
• Ability to recognize, communicate, address and lead technical improvements.
• Passion for web performance, observability and developer experience tools.
• Experience in defining and ensuring accountability for UI Engineering best practices.

Responsibilities

• Work cross-functionally to build, test, deploy, and launch UIs that operationalize our workflows at scale.
• Participate in product reviews and team meetings, providing technical insight. Help scope, estimate, and prioritize between conflicting needs.
• Evaluate new technologies and approaches to streamline and improve our rapid application development tooling and conventions.
• Regularly learn and influence new systems and tools as the Netflix platform and ecosystem evolve.
• Participate in our on-call rotation and lead the incident reviews.
• Effectively communicate complex technical issues and solutions to stakeholders.
• Apply engineering best practices to guide projects and decisions, mentor team members.
