About The Position

Powering Intelligence Through Modern User Interfaces The Marine Corps Intelligence Activity (MCIA) delivers geospatial intelligence that supports mission planning and operational decision-making across the Department of Defense and Intelligence Community. Their work enables warfighters and analysts to access critical map-based data and intelligence products that directly support real-world operations. As a UI Developer, you will support MCIA’s Geospatial Support Services (GSS) portal, the primary platform used to access, share, and visualize mission critical intelligence data. Your focus will be on maintaining and improving the user interface to ensure it remains modern, responsive, and easy to use in operational environments. In this role, you will build and maintain front end UI components, improve usability and accessibility, and support integration with enterprise systems and geospatial data services. You will also assist with troubleshooting, support end users, and contribute to new features that enhance how intelligence is delivered and used. Requirements

  • Active TS/SCI clearance
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field
  • Or 8+ years of equivalent experience in lieu of degree
  • 4+ years of professional experience in front-end web development, including experience integrating with enterprise back-end systems via APIs
  • Advanced proficiency in programming languages such as JavaScript (ES6+), Typescript, HTML5 and CSS3
  • Strong experience with at least one major JavaScript framework such as React, Vue.js, or Angular, for building responsive and single-page applications
  • Proven experience integrating REST APIs and connecting front-end applications to enterprise back-end systems, including ITSM platforms and geospatial data services
  • Experience with data visualization libraries and tools (e.g., D3.js, ArcGIS API for JavaScript) to support interactive geospatial and analytical displays
  • Solid understanding of UI/UX design principles and web accessibility standards, including Section 508 compliance
  • Proficiency with modern development tools including package managers (npm/yarn), bundlers (Webpack/Vite), and version control systems such as Git
