About The Position

Apple is seeking a UI Designer to join the international team of designers, engineers, and music producers working on the Music Creation Apps in the just-announced Apple Creator Studio. This collection of powerful creative apps is designed to put studio-grade power into the hands of everyone, building on the essential role Mac, iPad, and iPhone play in the lives of millions of creators around the world.

The ideal candidate is driven to design elegant user interfaces for our Music Creation applications, Logic Pro, MainStage and GarageBand, that are workflow-driven, deep, and complex. You will work alongside partners in design, software engineering, sound design, product management, and other teams across Apple to craft and develop innovative features through thoughtful interaction design and nuanced visual design. You have the ability to quickly grasp and distill intricate design challenges into sophisticated and beautiful solutions. You are a nimble, effective diplomat with an aptitude for collaboration and persuasive communication. Keen attention to detail and effective organizational skills are a must, as well as the ability to navigate rapid change and ambiguity. You can produce comprehensive, precise deliverables under tight deadlines while balancing input from cross-functional stakeholders. Requirements

• 8+ years of work experience with a focus on UI design across a variety of platforms like iOS, macOS, web, and others.
• Degree in UX/UI design, visual design, or equivalent.
• Experience in shipping digital products from start to finish including the documentation and development process.
• Ability to clearly communicate concepts and designs through prototypes, sketches, high-fidelity comps, and presentations.
• Highly skilled and fast in any tools you need to visualize your ideas and deliver the work.
• Enthusiasm and history working in an iterative design process, motivated by group critique.
• Excellent written and verbal communication and ability to present work to large groups and executives.
• Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively across disciplines to deliver high-quality experiences.
• A portfolio showcasing UI/UX design work.

Nice To Haves

• Knowledgeable with Apple Creator Studio apps, GarageBand and other music production and creation software.
• A talent and eye for visual detail in layout, typography, motion, and behavior.
