About The Position

MasTec Utility Services delivers critical infrastructure construction and engineering services for power delivery, gas, and water customers, specializing in overhead and underground electric distribution for power delivery systems, gas distribution construction for gas systems, and turnkey solutions for a variety of water, sewer, and civil infrastructure projects. The UGE Skilled Laborer/Groundman - negz is responsible for supporting the crew by assisting with the installation/repair of underground power lines. Duties also include gathering materials needed to complete daily work at the jobsite while promoting a safe work environment. This position supports the Line team and works with personnel within various departments.

Requirements

High school diploma, or equivalent.
1 year of experience in utilities or construction.
Valid driver's license.

Nice To Haves

2 or more years of experience.
CDL Class A driver's license.

Responsibilities

Clean and prepare the construction site for work, removing debris and possible hazards.
Gather materials for the job and make sure the crew has everything required.
Assist the tradesmen in completing their skilled task more effectively.
Operate construction and jobsite equipment safely; equipment includes rubber-tired backhoe, skid steer loader, directional drill, trencher, and mini excavators.
Restock trucks with supplies ensuring crews have the proper tools and supplies to complete the job.
