About The Position
The UGE Skilled Laborer/Groundman - negz is responsible for supporting the crew by assisting with the installation/repair of underground power lines. Duties also include gathering materials needed to complete daily work at the jobsite while promoting a safe work environment. This position supports the Line team and works with personnel within various departments.
Requirements
- High school diploma, or equivalent.
- 1 year of experience in utilities or construction.
- Valid driver's license.
Nice To Haves
- 2 or more years of experience.
- CDL Class A driver's license.
Responsibilities
- Clean and prepare the construction site for work, removing debris and possible hazards.
- Gather materials for the job and make sure the crew has everything required.
- Assist the tradesmen in completing their skilled task more effectively.
- Operate construction and jobsite equipment safely; equipment includes rubber-tired backhoe, skid steer loader, directional drill, trencher, and mini excavators.
- Restock trucks with supplies ensuring crews have the proper tools and supplies to complete the job.
