About The Position

Anoka-Ramsey Community College is seeking an unlimited, full-time Biology faculty member. The primary responsibilities of the position include teaching a two-semester Human Anatomy and Physiology sequence intended mainly for students majoring in nursing, health science, and allied health. This position may be assigned other Biology courses for majors and non-majors. ARCC has a strong commitment to innovative, active, student-centered teaching practices including service learning, undergraduate research (independent and course-based), online and hybrid learning. The successful candidate will practice continuous improvement through ongoing content- and pedagogy-related professional development and will work collaboratively with colleagues in service to the department, division, and college. The primary teaching responsibilities for this position will be in person at the Cambridge campus. The faculty member may be expected to teach a variety of evening, online, and/or hybrid course sections associated with both campuses in Cambridge and Coon Rapids. This position is assigned to the Biology credential field. Graduate coursework in related areas may be considered in-field for Biology.

Requirements

  • Master's degree with a major in Biology or Master's degree in any discipline/field with a minimum of 18 graduate semester credits (27 graduate quarter credits) in Biology.

  • Experience or strategies in engaging students in project-based learning or course-based undergraduate research within the community college setting
