Requirements

  • Associate's degree in Information Technology or related field, or equivalent experience.
  • 4+ years of experience supporting enterprise Windows Server environments in a production context.
  • Proficient in Active Directory, PowerShell, and Windows infrastructure services.
  • Understanding of basic security frameworks and hardening guidelines (e.g., STIG, CIS, NIST 800-53).
  • Experience with patch management, endpoint protection, and change control in regulated environments.

Responsibilities

  • Manages the functionality and efficiency of a group of UC systems running on one or more operating systems.
  • Deploy, configure, and maintain Microsoft Windows Server systems supporting UC workloads.
  • Manage core infrastructure services (Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, GPOs) critical to UC operations.
  • Support hybrid identity solutions (Azure AD Connect, ADFS) and their role in Microsoft 365 and Teams.
  • Maintain and troubleshoot Systems supporting Microsoft Teams, and other Windows Server system supporting UC applications.
  • Maintain Virtual Desktop Infrastructure based on modern hypervisor technology.
  • Maintain Server OS on hypervisors based on various solutions, ESXi, ProxMox, OpenShift.
  • Script and automate provisioning, compliance checks, and monitoring tasks with PowerShell.
  • Collaborate security teams and application owners to enforce technical baselines for real-time communications platforms.
  • Ensure high availability and disaster recovery preparedness of UC-supporting infrastructure.
  • Maintain detailed technical documentation for systems, integrations, and change controls.
  • Ensure compliance with corporate security policies, industry standards (e.g., CIS and STIG).
  • Apply OS and application hardening in accordance with organizational baselines and best practices (e.g., CIS Benchmarks, DISA STIG).
  • Participate in vulnerability scanning and remediation efforts across UC-supporting Windows systems.
  • Implement and manage patch management processes to ensure timely remediation of security vulnerabilities.
  • Monitor privileged access and enforce least privilege across UC and infrastructure systems.
  • Manage TLS/SSL certificates, PKI infrastructure, and secure communications configurations for UC applications.
  • Assist with incident response, root cause analysis, and containment of security events related to Windows-based UC infrastructure.
