About The Position

We are seeking an experienced UAT Test Manager / UAT Lead to support a large, multi-year state human services system modernization, replacing legacy eligibility and case management platforms. This role will lead business-driven User Acceptance Testing (UAT) for programs such as SNAP, TANF, Child Support, and Child Care, working closely with state agency program staff and a large system integrator delivery team. This is a hands-on leadership role, not a purely administrative or PM-only position.

Requirements

  • 8+ years in UAT, QA, or testing leadership roles
  • Strong ability to work onsite with agency staff and facilitate business-heavy testing discussions
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills

Nice To Haves

  • Prior UAT leadership on state HHS, eligibility, or case management systems strongly preferred
  • Experience supporting programs such as SNAP, TANF, Child Support, or Child Care
  • Prior experience working within large system integrator–led programs (e.g., Deloitte, Accenture, Conduent, etc.)
  • Hands-on experience using Jira, Azure DevOps, ALM, or similar client-provided tools

Responsibilities

  • Lead end-to-end UAT planning, execution, and readiness for eligibility and case management systems
  • Partner directly with state agency program leadership, business SMEs, PMO, and system integrator teams
  • Define and enforce UAT entry/exit criteria, test schedules, and execution plans
  • Lead defect triage, prioritization, and resolution discussions with business and technical teams
  • Ensure UAT reflects real-world eligibility and case workflows, not just scripted paths
  • Provide clear, executive-level testing status, risk, and readiness reporting
  • Support audit readiness, compliance, and documentation requirements
  • Act as the primary UAT point of contact during active testing cycles
