Serve as an Unoccupied Aircraft Systems (UAS) technician in the University of Vermont Spatial Analysis Laboratory. Acquire, process, analyze, and document UAS datasets.   • Bachelor's degree in a scientific field.
  • FAA 14 CFR Part 107 Remote Pilot Certification with valid sUAS rating.
  • Three months of experience with UAS flight operations using multirotor, fixed-wing, and/or VTOL sUAS.
  • One year of geospatial experience, which may include university-level coursework.
  • Knowledge of principles, practices, terminology, and trends in UAS industry, geospatial technology, and disaster response.
  • Knowledge of principles, practices, terminology, and trends in public safety, disaster response, and emergency management.
  • Valid driver's license.
  • Ability to obtain FEMA IS-100, IS-200, and IS-700 certifications.
  • Ability to obtain CPR and first-aid certifications.
