Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent GED.
  • Minimum of 2 years' experience working in a manufacturing or maintenance environment.
  • Minimum of 2 years' work experience performing material handling and storing various material types.
  • Minimum of 2 years' experience using tools such as table saws, band saws, drill presses, and hand tools.
  • Minimum of 2 years' experience with operation of gantry and jib cranes.
  • Minimum of 2 years' experience with operating hand carts, forklifts, and pallet jacks.
  • Experience in using computer systems.
  • US citizenship is required.

Nice To Haves

  • Minimum of 2 years' of work experience with various software such as SAP and Microsoft suite.
  • Minimum of 2 years' experience using and interpreting military standards.
  • Minimum of 2 years' experience interpreting and applying packaging instructions.

Responsibilities

  • Directing and monitoring the activities within multiple storerooms.
  • Efficiently utilizing space and equipment within storerooms and storage areas to meet established priorities and completion dates.
  • Handling various types of material including ferrous and non-ferrous materials, finished and purchased parts, tools and supplies, bulk oils, paints, explosives, bottled gases and containers.
  • Receiving work assignments and instructions from supervision.
  • Following proper systems, procedures and methods for handling and storing materials.
  • Identifying and processing materials with visual damage, poor condition, improper packaging or storage.
  • Ensuring compliance with established safety rules and material handling and storage procedures.
  • Performing work of equal or lower skill as required.
