Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent GED.
  • A minimum of 2 years as a Level II inspector in Visual Testing (VT), Magnetic Particle Testing (MT), Liquid Penetrant Testing (PT).
  • Able to lift up to 50 pounds.
  • US citizenship is required.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, Power Point).
  • Experience reading and interpreting engineering drawings.
  • Experience working with Military Standards and Process Specifications.
  • Experience with SAP (Systems, Applications, and Products in Data Processing).
  • Experience utilizing measuring devices including comparators, micrometers, scales, and calipers.
  • Certifications in other NDT methods.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor the manufacturing processes and operations and conduct various types of inspections/tests on a broad range of complicated fabrications, subassemblies, assemblies and tools to assure compliance with customer and NG specifications and standards.
  • Inspect components, assemblies, tooling, weldments and materials of various geometric configurations and processes as specified and randomly for compliance with established customer and NG specifications and standards.
  • Identify and tag defective parts, materials and incorrect processes with appropriate inspection documentation.
  • Perform various non-destructive tests on a wide variety of metallic and non‑metallic materials to determine quality and soundness of material being inspected utilizing x-ray, ultrasonic, eddy current and helium leak testing and other NDT equipment.
  • Setup and use measuring equipment including coordinate measurement machines, optical tooling, and Gear inspection equipment.
  • Advise Quality Assurance, Manufacturing, Production, Purchasing and Supplier personnel of quality problems and conditions.
  • Determine inspection priorities for assignments to lower coded inspectors.
  • Perform similar or lower classified work as required.
