The Manager, U.S. Public Policy at Cencora plays a pivotal role in shaping the company's federal and state policy priorities. This position is responsible for coordinating internal and external communications strategies related to advocacy efforts, ensuring alignment with Cencora's business objectives. The Manager will work closely with federal and state advocacy teams to assess government activities and communicate their implications to the business. This role involves developing and executing policy and advocacy objectives for one of Cencora's commercial business segments, requiring a deep understanding of the company's products and services, as well as the legislative landscape affecting them. In this role, the Manager will assist the Senior Director, Head of U.S. Public Policy, in facilitating the Policy Committee meetings, developing a U.S. risk register for policy priorities, and maintaining ongoing policy analysis with trade associations. The Manager will also be responsible for crafting and coordinating policy-focused communications, both internally and externally, and will collaborate with various departments to develop messaging and public policy positions. This includes monitoring proposed changes in law or policy that impact the business and serving as a subject matter expert in areas such as pharmaceutical supply chain, Medicare and Medicaid reimbursement, and drug pricing mechanisms. The ideal candidate will be based in Washington, DC, with some travel expected (approximately 25%). Remote candidates will also be considered. This position requires strong interpersonal skills, the ability to manage relationships, and excellent communication skills to effectively advocate for Cencora's interests in various policy-focused venues.
