About The Position

We are a fast-growing, global aesthetics pharmaceutical company establishing and scaling our U.S. commercial organization. We are seeking a Director of Strategic Communications & Medical Marketing to serve as the strategic bridge between Commercial and Medical. This role leads the strategy, governance, and activation of medical marketing, KOL engagement, and scientific communications across the aesthetics portfolio. This is a highly visible, hands-on role sits at the intersection of science, brand, and customer engagement, transforming clinical data and pipeline innovation into compelling, compliant education that drives adoption and long-term growth.

Requirements

  • 7–10+ years of experience in medical marketing, strategic communications, or commercial roles in pharmaceutical, biotech environment, aesthetics experience preferred.
  • Direct experience leading KOL engagement, advisory boards, speaker programs, and congress strategy.
  • Proven ability to translate science into compelling, compliant brand and education narratives.
  • Strong understanding of promotional vs. non-promotional boundaries.
  • Demonstrated success partnering across Marketing, Medical Affairs, and Sales.
  • Strategic, data-driven leader with strong executive presence and a builder mindset

Responsibilities

  • Lead the medical marketing and strategic communications framework across the aesthetics portfolio.
  • Serve as the primary liaison between pipeline, clinical data, and downstream commercial education and engagement.
  • Translate scientific, clinical, and product narratives into compliant, differentiated communications for customers, KOLs, and field teams.
  • Ensure alignment between brand strategy, medical education, and commercial execution.
  • Serve as the strategic connector across Marketing, Medical Affairs, Sales, and Compliance.
  • Partner with Medical Affairs to ensure appropriate separation and alignment between promotional and non-promotional communications.
  • Influence and align senior cross-functional leaders in a matrixed environment without direct authority.
  • Lead customer and KOL advisory boards, peer-to-peer programs, speaker initiatives, and educational forums in partnership with Medical Affairs.
  • Develop strategic KOL engagement frameworks that support brand education, clinical credibility, and adoption.
  • Guide brand and field teams on best practices for high-value customer and influencer engagement.
  • Ensure governance, compliance, and ROI tracking across all advisory and speaker activities.
  • Own Marketing’s professional society and congress strategy across the portfolio.
  • Serve as Marketing’s primary liaison to key medical societies, in close partnership with Medical Affairs.
  • Lead congress and conference activation strategy, including: Booth experience and scientific storytelling Symposium positioning and speaker strategy Content alignment across medical and commercial narratives
  • Oversee governance and performance measurement for Marketing-led scientific communications and presentations.
  • Lead omnichannel activation supporting medical education, launches, and lifecycle initiatives.
  • Partner with Brand Marketing and Sales to align messaging, content, and channel mix across field, digital, and experiential touchpoints.
  • Enable field teams with strategic messaging frameworks, scientific narratives, and compliant engagement tools.
  • Leverage customer, KOL, and engagement data to drive targeting, personalization, and strategy refinement.
  • Define KPIs and dashboards to measure impact of medical marketing, advisory boards, and society engagement.
  • Translate insights into recommendations that shape brand and portfolio strategy.
  • Serve as Marketing’s business owner for engagement and communications platforms (CRM, event management, speaker systems, marketing automation).
  • Partner with Sales Operations and IT on platform optimization and vendor management.
  • Drive adoption through training, change management, and continuous improvement.
  • Build and lead a high-performing Strategic Communications & Medical Marketing team.
  • Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and innovation.
