About The Position

U-Haul is seeking friendly, energetic, and motivated individuals for the U-Box Warehouse Manager role. This position involves ensuring customer satisfaction by providing friendly and courteous service. The role includes operating forklifts, managing the loading and unloading of storage containers, ensuring timely deliveries, assisting customers with sales and online systems, performing container inspections, handling documentation, and maintaining a clean, dry, and secure warehouse facility. U-Haul, founded in 1945, is a company that provides do-it-yourself moving equipment and has a commitment to a healthy work environment, including a nicotine-free hiring policy in certain states.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent
Valid driver’s license and the ability to maintain a good driving record
Adhere to all local state (provincial) and federal vehicular regulations while driving

Responsibilities

Operate an 8,000-lb propane forklift or a truck-mounted forklift (training provided).
Load and unload storage containers onto and off truck beds for delivery to and from a storage facility.
Ensure timely delivery.
Provide customer assistance, including the sale of support items and use of online dispatch and rental systems.
Perform customer-ready inspections of U-Box containers prior to dispatch and upon return.
Prepare, receive and provide appropriate documentation for the delivery or pickup of goods.
Ensure that the warehouse storage facility is clean, dry and secure.
Participate in ongoing continuous U-Haul education through U-Haul University.
