About The Position
The Quality & Data Analytics position at BMW Manufacturing Company is designed for students who are eager to gain hands-on experience in a dynamic environment. This role emphasizes the importance of learning by doing, where students are integrated into the team from day one and are encouraged to contribute their ideas. The position supports various areas including Assembly Test, Finish, Rework, and New Model Launch, focusing on the development of process improvements, innovations, and software tools. The intern will engage in problem-solving related to quality and process flow topics, collaborating with department management teams to enhance transparency in quality landscapes and improve vehicle and information flow management. In this role, students will be tasked with developing new methods to display operational data, facilitating a quicker path from problem recognition to solution. This may involve creating mobile software or hardware solutions to streamline defect documentation processes and enhance visibility of plant quality process adherence. The intern will also support management and quality teams in improving offline vehicle flow through complex testing and rework areas, aiming to simplify processes and save labor through smarter tools that detect irregularities in vehicle routing decisions. Additionally, the position involves supporting vehicle launch preparations by enhancing processes related to production, testing, and finishing for new vehicle launches, including the creation of innovative dashboards to visualize the intricacies of launching future vehicles in Plant 10.
