About The Position
The purpose of the Twisting & Heatset Maintenance Tech to repair and maintain Twisting and Heatset equipment. Essential Duties & Responsibilities: Follow all Safety, Plant & Quality Guidelines Operate and fill in unoccupied jobs when needed. Repair and maintain Twisting and Heatset equipment. Assist in lot changes in Twisting and Heatset as they occur. Performance Expectations (if applicable): Lifting 1 to 75 pounds is required for tools, parts, and equipment periodically during shift. Standing as required periodically as needed throughout shift approximately 6 hours per shift. Stooping as required periodically as needed throughout shift. Bending as required periodically for machine repair and lot changes throughout shift. Reaching is required for machine repair and lot changes periodically throughout shift. Good hand/eye coordination. Must be able to distinguish colors and shades. Repetitive hand motions 3 out of 8 hours using wrenches, snips, scissors, and hand tools.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Must be able to read and write and do basic addition, subtraction, division, and multiplication.
- Must be computer trainable (data entry).
- Must have previous twisting and heat set maintenance experience on continuous autoclave and direct cable twisters.
