About The Position

Requirements

  • Must be actively enrolled in a degree-granting program at an accredited institution during the entire duration of the program (September 2025 through April 2026).
  • Current class standing of sophomore or above (30 credits).
  • Must be presently authorized to work for any employer in the United States and must not require work visa sponsorship from NBCUniversal now or in the future.
  • Must be available to work 16-24 hours per week from September 15, 2025 - April 17, 2026.
  • Must be willing to work in Universal City, CA.

Nice To Haves

  • Students with class standing of junior or above preferred.
  • Cumulative GPA of 3.0 or above.
  • Previous public relations experience is a plus, but not required.
  • Familiarity with Muck Rack, Cision, and Google Alerts a plus, but not required.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft PowerPoint, Excel, and Word.
  • Ability to write clean copy quickly and efficiently.
  • Experience creating content for various social media platforms.
  • Ability to multitask, highly organized, and strong attention to detail.

Responsibilities

  • Support communications efforts by maintaining and updating press lists, preparing for press junkets, monitoring press breaks and compiling clip packets, researching media outlets & contacts, and compiling coverage reports.
  • Assist with press releases and various writing assignments/research projects.
  • Research and share knowledge of current events and trends in the pop culture zeitgeist as they relate to organizational objectives for the team.
  • Assist Live Events team with show lead-up materials, day of event needs, and post-show recaps.
  • Support the brand team throughout marketing processes, partake in weekly trainings, attend meetings and assist in daily tasks.
  • Identify moments from series in advance of airing to be clipped for social use, monitor social sentiment, write and edit compelling social media copy.
  • Ideate and produce social media content for studio and brand handles, support the awards team through research and asset management.
  • Assist publicists during in-person press opportunities, compile comprehensive coverage reports for senior executives.
