About The Position
We are seeking individuals to tutor high school students (grades 9 - 12) on an as-needed basis. Tutors will support students in completing assigned work, gain deeper understanding of course materials, and develop effective learning skills. Tutors may need to prepare learning materials to meet academic needs and goals. Tutors will also assist students in reflecting on and implementing instructor feedback on prior work. In addition, will implement 504 and IEP accommodations as required. This role actively communicates with teachers and administration regarding student needs and progress. Tutors may also support students with behavioral challenges.
Requirements
- Background check, including fingerprinting
- Maine Department of Education CHRC Approval
Nice To Haves
- Experience teaching math, English, or science is preferred.
