About The Position

The Tutor provides assistance in subjects as needed. Tutors and/or teaches course content. Guides students in meeting academic deadlines. Assists in the development of general study, planning, and time-management skills. Reviews, discusses, and explains course material in a clear, effective, and creative manner. Conducts test review sessions.

Requirements

• Bachelors degree and expertise in subject to be tutored; OR a native speaker in foreign language.
• Must be available a minimum of two nights weekly from 6:30pm to 9:30pm.
• Good interpersonal and communication skills.
• Sufficient academic knowledge of college undergraduate courses in one or more areas (business, computer science, engineering, English, foreign language, humanities, social science, math, natural science, etc.).
• Ability to assist students from a variety of backgrounds and experiences, including entering freshmen, continuing, and international students.

Nice To Haves

• Advance degree.
• Experience as a school teacher or counselor, college instructor, and/ or graduate teaching assistant (GTA).
