About The Position

The Hourly Mariachi Music Tutor provides academic support and guidance to students, tailoring instruction to meet individual needs and learning styles. Offers feedback and encouragement to boost students' confidence and academic performance. Mariachi Instructor of the vihuela, guitar, guitarron, trumpet and violin. Hours are 3:45 - 4:45 pm. on Wednesdays, Thursdays and Fridays. Must have experience playing at least one of the mariachi instruments listed and possibly some background of mariachi music Mariachi Instructor of the vihuela, guitar, guitarron, trumpet and violin. This position is temporary, and grant funded year to year - Continuation of the position is contingent on grant funding. Requirements

• High School Diploma / GED - Required
• Minimum of 1-2 years of experience providing instructional support to students - Required
• High degree of confidentiality
• Effective time management and organizational skills
• Effective communication skills
• Strong attention to detail
• Ability to take responsibility for one’s own performance
• Works collaboratively with others on a team
• Aptitude for variety and changing expectations in a fast-paced environment
• Ability to coordinate and work effectively with site staff and a diverse student population
