About The Position

Weco is a value-added single-source contract manufacturer of machined components, finished fabricated sheet metal, and assembled metal products. Our three facilities encompass all aspects of metal product manufacturing including our own on-site finishing with powder, paint, and graphics capability. We serve the OEM Industrial, Healthcare/Medical Device, Aerospace/Defense, Renewable Energy, and Electronics by manufacturing both conventional and the most technically demanding items. Requirements

• High School Diploma preferred.
• Desire to work with machinery.
• Ability to read and write routine correspondence.
• Ability to communicate effectively with staff and other individuals.
• Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals.
• Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions.
• Ability to maintain confidential information.
• Ability to perform duties in a professional manner, maintaining the high quality of workmanship.

Responsibilities

• Inserts, aligns, and locks punches and dies in turret.
• Places workpiece on table.
• Aligns workpiece to scale and end gauge on machine and clamps it to machine table.
• Pushes button to turn turret to specified punch and die.
• Turns cranks to set indicator to specified dimension on forward and lateral machine scale.
• Presses pedal to activate punch.
• Repeats operation for each machine setting specified on charts.
• Positions center punch from turret to touch plate and turns crank to scratch layout lines.
• Computes punch charts from blueprints.
• Punches holes in nonmetallic materials.
• Cleans working area after completing tasks in that area.
• Carries out other duties as necessary to perform function within state and federal regulations.
