About The Position

We are seeking experienced CNC Turning Machinists for the 2nd shift to operate different CNC turning/lathe machines in our shop utilizing FANUC operating systems. VTL (Vertical Turning Lathes) experience is preferred. You will be operating machines for valuable castings/forgings to manufacture them into quality parts for customers. Typical hours are Monday - Friday, 4:20 pm to 2:50 am. Must be available for overtime including weekends and during peak production times. This position offers a hire-on-bonus.

Requirements

• Should be able to read and write English. Basic computer skills are a plus
• Preferred five or more years of combined formal training and experience or equivalent
• Broad knowledge of machining techniques and familiarity with CNC machine tool operating procedures
• Ability to apply recognized tooling and procedures where tolerances are close
• Blueprint reading ability
• Requires a high school diploma/GED or equivalent
• Must be able to lift and move objects up to 50 pounds consistently with heavier weight necessary at times

Responsibilities

• Follow written instructions and read and apply blueprint specifications.
• Performs a complex series of progressive machining operations on a diversified line of work to close and exact tolerances and finishing specifications.
• Able to perform simple set-ups of many jobs. May operate more than one machine.
• Checks parts for conformance to specifications.
• Comply with safety regulations and maintain a clean, orderly work area.
• Perform all other duties as assigned or needed.
