Worker Type: Employee About this opportunity: Cenovus is hiring a Turnaround Manager for our Superior, WI, refinery. This role has overall accountability for delivery of well-planned, safe, environmentally sound, and efficiently executed turnarounds. The Turnaround Manager is responsible for developing, implementing, coordinating, and monitoring all scheduled turnaround activities. The Turnaround organization leads the planning and execution of maintenance and project work during turnaround execution. Responsibilities include ensuring mechanical requirements and operational objectives are met while utilizing all resources in the most time and cost-effective manner possible. What you’ll do: Lead and manage the planning of large comprehensive turnarounds, establishing strategic direction and ensuring safety, efficiency, and fiscal restraint. Work with all areas of the plant to develop the turnaround work scope, safety plans, schedule and budget. Responsible for health, safety and environmental performance, processes and awareness in area of responsibility to achieve site safety and environmental goals. Works closely with Operations, Engineering, Inspection & Reliability, and Commercial teams to develop long- and short-range plans for maintaining and improving the Refinery performance. Understand & practice Continuous Improvement. Leads the reviews and improvement of the existing TAR work processes, as well as implement new processes. Provide training on TAR work processes thus allowing the improvements to be effectively implemented. Pro-actively manage individual & team performance and invest the time to improve team skills. Who you are: Legally authorized to work in the US. 12+ years in refinery or similar oil/petrochemical industry experience or related industry. High School Diploma or GED. Previous refinery turnaround experience in a lead role with significant responsibilities. Demonstrated strong leadership, communication skills, and project management capabilities.
