About The Position

The Turnaround Engineer will support the Turnaround Manager as a technical expert interfacing with the site engineers, planners, designers, and equipment/service vendors. The candidate is responsible for implementing and completing project designs and all aspects of capital projects. INEOS is a global manufacturer of petrochemicals, specialty chemicals, and oil products, with a significant contribution to saving life, improving health, and enhancing standards of living for people around the world. The role involves working in collaboration with the respective TAR manager in various project phases and managing the collection of the complete scope of work for the plant shutdown.

Requirements

  • BS Mechanical Engineering.
  • 5 years of chemical plant experience.
  • Participation or experience in the planning and implementation of shutdowns or comparable projects.
  • Knowledge of applicable codes and standards: e.g. ASME, API, ASTM, ANSI, NEC.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office applications including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and SharePoint.
  • Experience with SAP and scheduling software like Microsoft Project.

Responsibilities

  • Advise on safety expectations for the Turnaround and lead the team to achieve safety goals.
  • Serve as job representative and address all safety issues that arise with contractors brought on site for the execution of capital projects.
  • Ensure new installations adhere to INEOS Group Guidance Notes.
  • Manage the collection of the complete scope of work for the plant shutdown based on maintenance plans and legal requirements.
  • Execution of the work scope mapping in the central planning software, tracking of scope changes.
  • Interface as the central point of contact for the TAR detailed planning group.
  • Lead the importation of various scopes into the planning software.
  • Drive the evaluation of damage reports and inspection data.
  • Prepare and implement work scope challenges.
  • Maintain continuous data in relevant systems.
  • Compile all basic technical documents.
  • Provide a suitable reporting system on the current status of scope collection.
  • Take over progress and/or cost controlling in the implementation phase if necessary.
  • Participate in parallel projects and partner with off-site vendors for repairs and new equipment fabrication.
