About The Position

Plans and participates in the execution of turnarounds. Contributes to the development of long-range turnaround plans. Coordinates efforts across disciplines to develop and manage turnaround worklists. Compiles and reviews execution plans and schedules and develops mitigation/contingency plans for risks/exposures. Manages input of documents and data into the turnaround management application (IMPACT Web). Facilitates turnaround close-outs, look-backs, and benchmarking. This role will progressively expand to include greater involvement in scheduling activities, supporting integrated planning efforts, and developing proficiency in turnaround scheduling tools and methodologies. Chevron Operations and Turnarounds is accepting online applications for the position of Turnaround Cost Analyst located at El Segundo, California through February 8th, 2026, at 11:59 p.m. The Cost Analyst (CA) will have cost ownership of multiple projects and will manage the cost related activities from project conception through closeout. CA needs to understand Primavera P6, SAP, SMART GEP, TRACK and Maximo and their interfaces with the cost programs. CA will review and provide capital vs. expense work and Solomon classifications to the project managers. CA will compile all contractor estimates to develop the Class III estimates for capital and expense projects on the turnaround events. CA will review all staffing plans with the execution team to ensure staffing is at optimum levels to support the turnarounds. CA will also review contractor estimates to ensure adherence to contractor’s rates, terms and conditions. CA will provide monthly actual, cash flow, forecasts and variance reporting for their projects. CA will work with turnaround schedulers, planners and management to review and manage headcounts during turnaround execution. CA will provide daily cost reporting to the management team during execution. CA will document all lessons learned from all Phases of turnaround planning. CA works with contract partners to get final cost forecasts and invoicing completed as soon as possible after turnaround completion.
