About The Position

The position involves performing all routine turf maintenance work for the parks division. This includes assisting in various maintenance tasks, inspecting parks and facilities, and maintaining equipment used in daily operations. The role also requires participation in special events and construction projects as necessary.

Requirements

• Ability to sit, stand, and transport self from building.
• Ability to drive vehicle to and from various work-sites.
• Ability to read and understand work orders and equipment manuals.
• Skill in the operation of hand tools and equipment such as mowers, tractors, gas-powered trimmers, saws, and other gardening and maintenance tools.

Nice To Haves

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Valid Texas Driver's License, CDL preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist in performing routine turf maintenance.
• Remove trash from containers and inspect parks for needed repairs.
• Inspect parks and athletic areas and facilities for repairs.
• Maintain ball fields, swimming pools, and park facilities.
• Assist with construction projects as necessary.
• Operate and maintain equipment used in daily operations.
• Help in the setup of special events and sports tournaments.
• Assist with the installation of new park equipment such as small buildings, sidewalls, benches, bleachers, and fencing.
• Work weekends and evenings as required.
• Perform other related duties as required.
