This role oversees account development, customer relationships, and market expansion in the LCO (Lawn Care Operations), VM (Vegetation Management), NGH (Nursery-Greenhouse), Golf, and Forestry markets. The District Sales Manager drives district profitability, ensures alignment with company objectives, and develops a high-performing sales team.

Requirements

  • 7+ years of progressive sales experience, preferably in the Turf & Ornamental or related industries.
  • Demonstrated success in sales team leadership, territory management, and business development.
  • Proven leadership experience in sales, operations, or location management.
  • Strong knowledge of local agricultural markets and practices (if applicable).
  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in Agronomy, Agriculture, Business, or related field preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Lead, coach, and develop a team of Sales Agronomists and account managers to achieve district sales goals and foster professional growth.
  • Develop and execute district-level sales strategies, annual business plans, and territory growth initiatives.
  • Analyze market trends, identify new business opportunities, and expand the district’s customer base.
  • Oversee budgeting, forecasting, and sales performance analysis for the district; ensure targets are met or exceeded.
  • Collaborate with branch management and cross-functional teams to implement strategic initiatives and optimize customer service.
  • Ensure compliance with credit policies, risk management, and regulatory requirements across all territories.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key customers, industry representatives, and internal stakeholders.
  • Serve as the primary escalation point for customer issues, complaint resolution, and complex negotiations.
  • Champion the use of technology and innovative solutions to enhance sales effectiveness and customer value.
  • Represent the company professionally in all interactions, maintaining a positive image, and upholding company standards.
