About The Position

The J.R. Simplot Company is a diverse, privately held global food and agriculture company headquartered in Boise, Idaho. We are a true farm-to-table company with an integrated portfolio including food processing and food brands, phosphate mining, fertilizer manufacturing, farming, ranching and cattle production, and other enterprises related to agriculture. Under general direction of Location Supervisor, performs a variety of job responsibilities related to the fulfillment of customer orders which includes unloading and proper storage of turf care products from commercial trucks, and then the delivery of same products to customers utilizing company provided (Class A) delivery vehicles. Maintenance of material handling equipment and warehouse facility is required to help ensure facility is operating in a safe, efficient, and clean manner. This is a Seasonal position.

Requirements

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED).
• Forklift experience is preferred.
• Computer skills (including Excel) preferred.
• Knowledge of the local geography is preferred to assist in locating golf courses.
• Ability to maintain maintenance records for equipment and vehicles.
• Ability to take on dispatching and administrative duties when necessary.
• Ability to lift 50lbs multiple times throughout the day.
• Ability to follow written and oral instructions.
• Valid Driver's License required.

Responsibilities

• Unload chemicals, seed, and fertilizer products from commercial delivery trucks by use of forklift and properly store throughout the warehouse.
• Load company delivery vehicles with same product by use of forklift (or by hand) and deliver to customers in a timely and courteous manner.
• Monitoring and maintenance (by outside parties) of both company vehicles and material handling equipment as well as adherence to all safety protocols while operating either.
• Ensure cleanliness and orderliness of facility inside and out daily.
• May assist with recordkeeping related to warehouse/inventory responsibilities.
• Miscellaneous duties such as assisting with special projects, attending training sessions, providing back-up when needed, etc.
